Numerical Simulation for Optimization of the Water Intake-Outlet Arrangements for Seawater Desalination Plants Based on MIKE21: A Case Study of Laoshan Bay, Qingdao

The field of seawater desalination faces some challenges. For example, at present, site selection and layout water intakes outlets are often not carefully considered. This can easily result in the degradation quality due to coastal sea pollution sudden brine discharge, which be hazardous negatively impact marine development activities such as aquaculture. By using MIKE21 numerical simulation software, this paper establishes a two-dimensional mathematical tidal current model engineered area convection diffusion after discharge.
